The Top 10 Afrobeat Songs in the UK for this month

In 2026, Afrobeats is still the most popular music in the world. Its seductive rhythms, synchronized percussion, and deep basslines draw in both African and international fans.  In March 2026, the current sound was a mix of well-known artists and new ones who were just starting out.

Based on streaming numbers, chart positions, and cultural impact from the UK Official Afrobeats Chart and major platforms, these are the top 10 Afrobeat songs that are making waves this month.

1. Over by R2Bees

Position on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart: No 1 for 12 weeks

The Ghanaian duo R2Bees won first place with their moving song. It’s catchy melody and passionate lyrics have kept it at the top of the charts for an amazing 12 weeks, showing how African music can still have an impact around the world.

2. Jogodo by Asake and Wizkid

Number two on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart for nine weeks

This fun duet from their joint EP “REAL, Vol. 1” has two generations of Afrobeats royalty.  Asake’s lively style and Wizkid’s smooth voice have made the song a streaming hit.

3. What You Need by Tems

Positioned on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart: No 3 for 11 weeks

Tems, a Grammy-winning musician, keeps her place at the top of the world with this moving performance.  The song is interesting to listen to because it mixes Afrobeats rhythms with her own ethereal voice.

4. Where Do We Go? by Ayra Starr

Position on the Official Afrobeats Chart in the UK: No 4 (2 weeks)

The Grammy-nominated diva is back with her first solo single of 2026. The song talks about the emotional ups and downs of modern relationships.  ILYA made the single, which mixes Afropop and electronic beats to make a deep song that’s perfect for the club.  Ayra Starr’s bold singing talks about unrequited love over sharp percussion and a deep pulsing bottom.  The song has already made a big difference on the charts, even though it came out just two weeks ago.

5. Kakalika by DopeNation

Position on the Official Afrobeats Chart in the UK: No 5 (8 weeks)

The song’s catchy hooks and upbeat beat show how Ghana is still a big part of the global Afrobeats movement. It has become popular on streaming services.

6. Turbulence by Asake and Wizkid

Position on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart: #6 (8 weeks)

This song from the “REAL, Vol. 1” EP, which is also one of my favorites, has a message of peace in the middle of chaos.  Vevo picked it as their Global Video of the Week, and within a month of its release, it got more than 20 million plays on Spotify.

7. Mofe by Mavo

Chart Position: No 7 on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart

With this new release, Mavo, a rising star, keeps making waves.  The song has unique West African sounds that have made it very popular. Mavo is an artist to watch in the growing Afrobeats industry.

8. Aura Salad by Mavo

This is the eighth best song on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart.

The song’s unique Afrobeats production style has resonated with listeners, keeping it on the charts and showing that Mavo can make hit after hit.

9. For Days by Melvitto/Ayomipo

Melvitto and Ayomipo’s song has been on the chart for eight weeks, which shows that it is still popular.  People who love Afrobeats have always liked this song because it has a unique mix of rhythmic beats and soft melodies.

10. 10 minutes by 6UFF/Odumodublvck

Position on the UK’s Official Afrobeats No 10

This partnership, which rounds out the top 10, makes Nigerian street hop more popular.  The song is new to the list, but its real sound and raw power have quickly made it one of the month’s biggest hits.

Respectable Mentions

There are a few more songs that had an impact on the Afrobeats scene in March 2026 that should be mentioned:

 • Raindance by Dave & Tems: This UK-certified gold collaboration mixes rap with sexy Afrobeats vocals.

 • Who’s Dat Girl by Ayra Starr and Rema: By February 2026, the music video for this dancehall-inspired hit had been watched more than 30 million times.
