Known professionally as DJ Abrantee, Abrantee Boateng is credited with pioneering the Afrobeats movement in the UK. He launched the world’s first “Afrobeats” radio show on 11 April 2011 and has been a prominent voice on urban radio station Capital Xtra.

Hosting the 1Xtra Rave Show on BBC Radio 1Xtra, Jeremiah Asiamah showcases a range of Black dance music genres, including Afro house and Amapiano. His dynamic sets have earned him recognition across the UK music scene.

Known for his hit song “Drogba (Joanna),” Afro B has played a significant role in popularizing Afrobeats globally. He coined the term “Afrowave,” describing a fusion of hip-hop, dancehall, and Afrobeat melodies.

Starting his career in the UK, DJ Spinall has performed alongside acts like Kool & the Gang and Joe. He became the official DJ for Mavin Records, playing a crucial role in promoting Afrobeats through tours and mixtapes.

As the host of BBC Radio 1Xtra’s “Destination Africa,” DJ Edu has been a prominent advocate for African music in the UK. He consistently showcases emerging talents and diverse sounds from the continent.

Based in Birmingham, DJ Holy is a dynamic Afrobeats and multi-genre DJ, music producer, and performer. Known for his vibrant image and crowd-controlling sets, he has opened for artists like Davido, Mr Eazi, and Afro B. In 2021, he made his national radio debut on BBC Radio 1Xtra, presenting emerging Afrobeats, Afrohouse, and Amapiano talents through his show “Afrocircle.”

Renowned for his “Ultimate Afrobeats” mixtape series, DJ Neptizzle has been a key figure in bringing Afrobeats to mainstream UK audiences. His energetic sets have made him a staple in clubs and festivals across the country.

Known for his versatile mixes, DJ P Montana has been instrumental in promoting Afrobeats and UK underground music. His collaborations and events have fostered a vibrant community for African music enthusiasts.

A media and entertainment consultant, DJ Abass has been pivotal in promoting Nigerian music and culture in the UK. He co-produced the television show “Intro” and has organized numerous events, including Nollywood movie premieres and concerts.
