It’s another day, another chart-topper for Wizkid! Kese Dance dropped at precisely midnight, and by morning, it had already ascended to the number one spot on Spotify. Impressive? Definitely. Surprising? Not in the least.
Fans of Nigeria’s biggest music icons, you know who they are, treat every release like a heavyweight bout, battling for bragging rights and streaming numbers in what has become a friendly (and sometimes fierce) competition. So when Wizkid’s latest track claimed the throne in record time, his fans celebrated while others… well, had opinions.
But amid the buzz surrounding “Kese Dance”, one question quickly took center stage, “Remove P2J”, Wizkid’s go-to producer? Known for crafting the mellow, vibe-filled beats behind many of Wizkid’s hits, P2J’s signature sound has almost become synonymous with the artist.
So why are fans not happy with who produced “Kese Dance”? Is there a difference in his recent performance, or this is done by the Other Fan base ( You know who)?
For now, though, the real question is: How does this new beat stack up?
I’ll leave that for you to decide. Give “Kese Dance” a listen and see if it feels refreshing or if you agree with them.
